On the eve of Senior Night 2008, Western Carolina's three men's basketball seniors will be the in-studio guests on Wednesday's edition of "In the Litterbox" a weekly interactive sports talk show produced and aired on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5. The show airs tonight (Feb. 27) from 7:00 until 8:00 pm and can also be heard online at www.WWCUFM.com.
WCU head track & field coach Danny Williamson will also stop by with his insight into this Friday and Saturday's Southern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Clemson. In addition, WCU head men's basketball coach Larry Hunter and head softball coach Christine Hornak are on the docket for the busy mid-semester show.
The Catamount seniors will look back at their collegiate careers in Cullowhee, as well as preview their home finale against Wofford on Thursday night (tip-off set for 7:03 pm).
In its third season, "In the Litterbox" (ITL) spotlights Western Carolina Catamount athletics with discussion of events, as well as interviews with coaches, student-athletes and other Catamount personalities. The show is co-hosted by WCU student, Josh Thompson, of Lincolnton, N.C., and Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations, Daniel Hooker, and is produced by station student general manager, Kyle McCurry.
WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 continues to serve as the Flagship Station of Catamount Athletics this season, broadcasting Catamount football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball. WWCU has also been a partner with WCU Athletics in broadcasting the SoCon Women's Soccer Championship and NCAA tournament appearance, as well as the first-ever Catamount Softball games two years ago continuing with both the softball and baseball SoCon tournaments.
