Cullowhee, N.C. -
The Western Carolina men's basketball team, who is 3-1 in the Southern Conference and off to its best start in league play since 1994-95, will play at Elon, who is 4-0 and leading the SoCon North Division, on Jan. 21. The teams will look to take early control in the SoCon standing with a win on Saturday at 7:00 pm. This early-season meeting did not have much significance in the preseason when Western was the consensus pick to finish last in the SoCon North and Elon was picked just ahead of the Cats.
Western Carolina will return to Cullowhee to host the College of Charleston on Monday (Jan. 23). Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm and the game will be televised on CSS TV. (Check local listings or your cable/satellite provider for availability in your area.)
Both the Elon and College of Charleston games will be broadcast on the Catamount Sports Network, which includes WWCU (90.5 FM in Cullowhee) and WRGC (680 AM in Sylva). If you are not in those listening areas, the game can be accessed on the internet at www.wwcufm.com and www.wrgc.com.
