Western Carolina Catamounts - Head Coach Larry Hunter

Opening Statement:
"I thought Charleston played really well tonight. At the start of both halves they jumped on us. I know the start of the first half I was very proud of the way our guys elevated their play and got back in it. Then they hit us with a good shot in the first five minutes of the second half. They really took control of the games and put themselves in a good position. Very proud of the way our guys hung in there and didn't give in but they were the better team out there."

On his team next year:
"The end of the season is always a downer. Basketball season dominates your life for months in a row and then all of a sudden it's over. I told them I was proud of them and I love them. We're going to some seniors next year. Hopefully we're going to have seniors who are going to play hard and win our school a championship."

College of Charleston Cougars - Head Coach Doug Wojcik

Opening Statement:
"They played hard. You have to give them credit for playing hard. I don't know what pretty is in the sense of the turnovers. We had 10 in the first half. And until the last two minutes of the game we did a great job with the ball. We scored 78. I'm really happy. We had over a seven day layoff from our Furman game and we shoot 47 percent from the field and 39 percent from three. We had our best performance of the year by far from the free throw line, shooting 82 percent."

"Western Carolina is a better team than Furman. They have a guy that can really score at any time and I think they are guarding really well. That's the difference. We still went into the locker room with a three point lead and it easily could have been a five point lead. That was without Trent Wiedeman for a long stretch in the first half. I think the biggest concern was that we were ready for them, but would we shoot the ball well after a seven day layoff. Our guys did a great job of that. The two guards did a great job of controlling the game."

Junior forward Anthony Thomas

On their play on the road:
"I feel like we play better on the road. I feel like we're a better road team than we are a home team. I don't know why. But we're on the road for the next two games so hopefully we'll do something good."

On the flow of the game:
"I think it's who we played. Western Carolina wanted the game like that. They're really scrappy. We usually don't play like that. We'll get back to our style in the next two games."
