Head Coach Larry Hunter
"The guys showed an awful lot of grit and determination there in the second half. We talked about at the half that we had nine turnovers and they scored 14 points and that we had to eliminate that and reduce our turnovers. I thought we were terrific on the offensive boards. Our 1-3-1 zone helped us and got them out of rhythm some. We had a group on the floor with Rhett Harrelson, Mike Brown, (Brandon) Boggs and Tawaski (King) and (James) Sinclair that really got the offense going. We fought to get the lead and made some big plays at the end. I'm really proud of the effort."
On the comeback
"We didn't have threes for the longest time and we are a pretty good three-point shooting team. Rhett (Harrelson) got a couple and James Sinclair hit one. I thought Mike Brown hit a big one for us on the right wing. They had a problem guarding Tawaski (King) in the second half. He was really confident and was finishing his shots."
Senior Guard Trey Sumler
On the second half performance by his team
"It was more encouraging saying we were going on a run. Coach said when you're in a slump, you have to sit back and catch the flow of the game. I was just the biggest cheerleader at the time."
Senior Forward Tawaski King
On offensive rebounding
"Coach said all year it's about the 50-50 ball, we have to get those loose balls. I thank my teammates for having that much confidence in me to get those rebounds."
