Quotes from Western Carolina head coach Larry Hunter
Hunter's opening statement: "I thought there were a couple of keys to the ball game. Their spurt there at the end of the half was a factor. We had control of the first half pretty much at they made a run at us late and we didn't finish the first half. They opened up a pretty good lead on us and came out strong to start the second half. To our guy's credit they showed a lot of heart and got back in it from a pretty good deficit around five minutes to go."

Hunter on the comeback attempt: "I thought Mike Brown's effort on the offensive boards during that stretch was terrific. He gave us some energy, and we really hurt them on the offensive boards during that stretch. We hit some shots and were guarding them pretty well. The last five minutes of the game we had way too many turnovers and couldn't execute -- took ourselves out of the game. Our energy and toughness from about the 11-minute mark to the 5-minute mark was great to be able to battle back in it. We gave ourselves a chance just didn't play well enough to get the win."

Hunter on Wofford's performance: "Cochran had a big basket there with the shot clock under five seconds. Their big three stepped up and got us - Cochran, Skinner and Collins. Hats off to Wofford though. I thought they had an awful lot of energy tonight. It was intense game and they made us very one-dimensional tonight and really neutralized our post. They were physical down there tonight."
