Interview with Coach Hunter on the WCU vs. UNCG men's basketball game

Coach Hunter on WCU players stepping up down the stretch against UNCG:
"We hit the big ones down the stretch on a night when we just weren't shooting very well. I thought our energy level was really good. I thought in the second half when we were down by six (points), Brandon Boggs stepped up really well. We picked up on the boards to help ourselves a little and of course Trey (Sumler) does his thing. A lot of guys stepped up. We got stops where we needed them and put ourselves in a really good position down the stretch."

Coach Hunter on playing UNCG:
"I knew both teams would get at it today. It's a conference race and there was a change in coaches. UNCG really targeted this game as one they needed to get. They played with a good measure of toughness and played with a much better tempo than last year."

Coach Hunter on how the team is doing:
"It's difficult to get a win period and we've got two away and two at home. We're battling the flu a little bit. Trey has early signs of the flu, so hopefully that won't affect us in a bad way. We'll give him a lot of fluids and make sure he rests. We didn't do much yesterday because we wanted to have good legs for this weekend."
