2008-09 (Freshman): Accepted an invitation as a preferred walk-on to join the Catamount basketball team ... Practiced with the team but did not play ... Was awarded an athletic scholarship in May of 2009.
Prior to Western: Was a postgraduate player at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia for head coach Kevin Keatts; High School: Was named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2006-07 after averaging 19.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game during his senior season at West Henderson for head coach Rob Bliss ... Played in the North Carolina/South Carolina All-Star game ... Garnered All-WAC accolades as a junior when he averaged 14.8 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots per game ...
