Cullowhee, N.C. - Due to McCormick Field being unavailable Wednesday night, Western Carolina's baseball game with UNC Asheville has been cancelled. The contest, set to be UNCA's home game and the fourth game of this season's four-game series, currently does not have a make up date set.

The teams attempted to make other concessions for Wednesday, but logistics and class schedules for the student-athletes left no other option.

The Catamounts will return to action this weekend for a key Southern Conference series with UNC Greensboro. All three games will be broadcast on WWCU (90.5 FM in Cullowhee) and world wide on the internet at www.wwcufm.com. Also, live up-to-the-batter results will be available on Gametracker, courtesy of the Olde Towne Inn of Dillsboro. Friday's game is set to start at 7:00 pm at the UNCG Baseball Stadium with Saturday's and Sunday's contests scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
