*Update as of 5 pm, April 19*Cullowhee, N.C. - Officials at Western Carolina University have again adjusted first pitch of Friday's series opener with Georgia Southern. Originally moved back one hour due to the weather moving through western North Carolina, the first pitch has now been bumped to 7:00 pm at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium. The three-game series was originally slated for a 5:00 pm first pitch on Friday evening.
Rain moved into the region late Thursday night and early Friday morning bringing heavy showers at times. Forecasters are predicting that the rain will leave the area by late afternoon with the extra two hours added to allow the grounds crew to prepare the field for play.

Catamounts Drop Series Finale to Georgia Southern, 2-1
Georgia Southern got all the runs it would need in a two-run fifth inning on Sunday afternoon as the Eagle pitchers held the potent Western Carolina lineup in check to claim the series with a 2-1 victory in the rubber match at J.I. Clements Stadium.
Winners of six of its last seven games overall, Western Carolina (23-16, 12-6 SoCon) hosts Georgia Southern (21-16, 10-8 SoCon) for a three-game conference series getting underway Friday. Game two is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm with the series concluding on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
WCU will send sophomore right-hander Jeremy Null (3-2, 4.47 ERA) to the mound while the Eagles counter with RHP Justin Hess (3-3, 4.23 ERA).
