Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina baseball game times for this weekend's 2001 home-opening series versus Wright State has been changed due to inclement weather this week. The Catamounts will play a single game on Saturday (Feb. 17), with first pitch at WCU's Childress Field/Hennon Stadium scheduled for 2 p.m. (EST), and a doubleheader on Sunday (Feb. 18), set to begin at noon.

This marks the seventh consecutive season WCU has opened its home slate with a series versus the Raiders. The Catamounts are 20-6 all-time against Wright State and have won each of their last eight encounters. WCU had wins of 13-11, 18-3 and 16-4 against the Raiders to open its home schedule last season, swept Wright State in its home-opening series in 1999 (11-8, 8-5 and 5-4) and claimed wins of 10-3 and 7-3 in 1998.
