2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in 17 games on the season including five starts, all coming as the designated hitter ... Saw action in the outfield four times ... Collected eight hits in 26 at bats for a .308 batting average with a pair of doubles and striking out five times with a pair of walks ... Batted .429 (6-of-14) against left-handed pitching and was 4-for-11 (.364) as a pinch hitter ... Drove in four runs ... Posted a season-high two hits in a home won over Gardner-Webb (April 17) ... Matched a career-high with four at bats in a starting role against Georgia Southern (April 20); Summer League: Played in six games in right field early in the summer for the Waynesboro (Va.) Generals in the Valley League ... Recorded one base hit in 11 at bats (.091) with a walk and four strikeouts ... Returned to Cullowhee and enrolled in summer school.
2012 (Freshman): Played in 31 games with 11 starts including seven as the designated hitter and four in left field ... Batted .308 as a true freshman, collecting 23 hits including seven for extra bases with 11 RBI ... Had two multiple hit games and three multiple RBI outings ... Recorded a pair of four-game hitting streaks ... Was a .267 batter as a pinch hitter (4-for-15) ... Prior to Western Carolina: A four-year letterwinner, hit .357 during his career with 31 doubles, eight triples and 12 home runs, driving in 76 ... Was a two-time, first-team all-conference selection and twice garnered All-Region honors including first team as a senior ... Recorded 16 victories on themound with a 3.28 ERA over 118.2 innings pitched, striking out 129 ... Was named his school's Male Athlete of the Year following his senior season.
