2017 (Sophomore): Returning from the elbow injury that ended his freshman season early, started 12 games on the season with a 4-3 record ... Tossed 53.0 innings with a 6.75 ERA, surrendering 43 runs -- 42 of which were earned ... Struck out 29 batters against 27 walks, fanning a career-high tying six in a road win at Nebraska (March 11) ... Allowed double-digit hits twice including 10 at UNCG (March 25) and 11 against Furman (April 14), winning the first vs. UNCG ... Had his start against VMI (April 21) shortened due to rain, though he had struck out three through just two innings of one-hit, scoreless work ... Missed his scheduled start against Wofford (May 6) due to a back injury suffered in the weight room ... Returned to action with consecutive short starts at Ball State (May 14) and against Presbyterian (May 16); Summer League: Pitched in six games with five starts for the Fon du Lac Dock Spiders in the Northwoods League ...
