2016 (Senior): Played in 35 games with 10 starts including seven at third base and three at second base ... Selected as the sixth recipient of the Leggett No. 7 Legacy during the preseason and wore the No. 7 jersey throughout 2016 ... Finished with a .250 batting average, finishing 17-for-68 with three doubles and a home run ... Recorded nine RBI and laid down six sacrifice bunts ... Belted a home run at VMI (April 10) ... Ignited a late-inning rally in WCU's tournament-opening, come-from-behind victory over Wofford (May 25) with an opposite field RBI double ... Drove in two runs as a pinch hitter during the NCAA Clemson Regional.

2015 (Junior): Saw action in 46 of WCU's 51 games on the year making 39 starts including 36 at third base and three as the designated hitter ... Batted .254 (34-for-134) with nine doubles and his first career home run at Liberty (March 14) ... Finished the year with nine multiple hit games and five multi-RBI outings, recording 24 RBI ... Put together a career-long, seven-game hitting streak in late March and boasted a 15-game reached base safely streak ... Ranked second on the WCU team with 26 walks drawn including a career-high five at UNCG (March 21) ... Was plunked by eight pitches ... Was a part of turning eight double plays, finishing with 50 fielding assists.

2014 (Sophomore): Saw action in 41 of the team's 55 games, making 21 starts at third base ... Started the first three games of the season at No. 2 Mississippi State ... Finished the year with a .228 batting average, collecting 13 hits in 57 plate appearances ... Recorded two multi-hit games and multiple RBIs in one game, plating three runs on a 2-for-2 outing in game one against Rider (March 15) ... Tallied nine putouts and 32 fielding assists ... Drew 14 walks against 11 strikeouts ... Drove in the game-tying run with a pinch hit eighth inning single in the game one come-from-behind win over Rider (March 14) ... Recorded his first career extra base hit in a 16-0 shutout victory over Presbyterian (April 8) ... Tallied a second two-hit game with a 2-for-4 showing against Appalachian State (May 3). Summer League: Played for the Aldie (Va.) Senators of the Valley League ... Saw action in 35 games on the summer, posting a .263 batting average with 30 hits including three doubles and a triple in 114 at bats ... Recorded 14 RBI and scored 10 runs ... Also pitched in 10 games, tossing 12 innings with a 3.00 ERA ... Struck out seven against three walks.

2013 (Freshman): Saw action in 12 games in his rookie season, all coming as a reserve with most of his action coming at second base ... Collected three singles in his eight official at bats to hit .375, drawing a walk and striking out twice ... Scored three runs on the season ... Tallied a pair of putouts and five fielding assists ... Made his collegiate debut at Davidson (March 9), pinch hitting for his older brother, Bradley, in the eighth inning ... Recorded a single to center field on the first pitch in his first collegiate plate appearance, later scoring his first career run in that inning ... Had two at bats at 13th-ranked Clemson (April 24); Summer League: Played in 40 games during the summer for the Kernersville Bulldogs of the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League ... Ranked fourth on the team with a .310 (31-of-100) batting average, finishing with five doubles ... Scored 28 runs with 12 RBI ... Laid down four sacrifice bunts with one sacrifice fly ... Walked 25 times against 17 strikeouts ... Finished 9-for-10 in stolen bases ... Even made two appearances on the mound, tossing a combined three innings with two strikeouts while allowing a run on one hit.

Prior to Western Carolina: Played prep baseball for his father, Brad Strong, at Richlands HS ... Named to the West squad in the Virginia High School Coaches Association (VHSCA) All-Star game played at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, Va. ... Collected two hits and drove in a run ... As a junior, hit .529 en route to earning second-time All-Group AA status. He was a first-team All-Southwest District and Region IV selection ... As a sophomore, earned first-team All Southwest District and second team All-Region IV honors at second base ... Played AAU baseball during the summer for the Canes Delmarva program ... Also played football as a prep, splitting time under center and handling kicker/punter duties ... Threw for over 2,000 yards as a senior while setting school records for the most points by a kicker and longest field goals in Richlands High history.

Personal: Is the son of Brad and Mary Ann Strong ... His older brother, Bradley, played for the Catamounts from 2012-15.
