Personal: Born Drew William Saberhagen in Kansas City, Mo. ... Son of Bret Saberhagen and Janeane Minnan ... His father, Bret, played in the major leagues with the Kansas City Royals, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox where he was a two-time Cy Young Award winner, a three-time All-Star and went 2-0 on the mound as the Royals defeated the Cardinals in the 1985 World Series.
