2016 (Sophomore): Made 23 appearances on the season with 22 coming out of the bullpen and one start mid-week at Gardner-Webb (April 27) ... Finished the year with a 3-2 record with a save ... Posted a 5.45 ERA over 34.2 innings pitched, striking out 38 against 21 walks ... Tallied strikeouts in 18 of his 23 appearances on the year ... Secured relief appearance victories at VMI (April 8), vs. Virginia Tech (April 20) and at home against Mercer (April 29) ... Made his first collegiate start at Gardner-Webb (April 27), tossing two innings ... Tossed a career-long 4.0 innings in securing his first collegiate save in the Southern Conference Tournament win over Samford (May 26) that kept the Catamounts in the winner's bracket ... Named Spring Academic All-Southern Conference and to the 2015-16 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
2015 (Freshman): Made 16 appearances out of the bullpen, tossing 22.2 innings ... Posted a 1-1 record with a 9.13 ERA ... Struck out 12 with 12 walks ... Only 12 of the 25 hits allowed went for extra bases ... Made his collegiate debut in tournament play in Wilmington, N.C., tossing an inning against Wake Forest (Feb. 21) ... Recorded his first career strikeout at home against Valparaiso (March 3) ... Picked up his first victory, tossing a then career-long 3.1 innings out of the bullpen against Appalachian State (April 21), striking out two while allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits ... Matched his then career-long outing with 3.1 innings in relief in game one of a doubleheader against VMI (May 15) ... Named to the 2014-15 SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
Prior to Western Carolina: Lambert High's Most Outstanding Pitcher as a senior, was additionally tabbed the Forsyth County Pitcher of the Year ... Was twice named all-region, earning first team honors as a senior and second team plaudits as a junior ... Helped guide his team to a 36-2 record and a state championship, collecting first team Louisville Slugger All-America accolades ... Set a program record for most seasonal victories, winning 11 games as a senior while also tallying six saves and a 1.15 ERA ... Struck out 102 batters - 60 as a senior, 42 as a junior - over his final two seasons as a prep.
