2014 (Junior): Played in 40 games on the season with 13 games started including six in right field, six as the designated hitter and once in left field ... Was used mostly as a pinch hitter in the second half of the season ... Posted a .143 batting average with eight hits in 56 plate appearances ... Five of his eight hits went for extra bases including three doubles and two home runs ... Recorded a three-game hitting streak and a stretch of reaching base safely in four-consecutive games ... Picked up his first extra base hit of the season with a double at Washington State (Feb. 22) ... Doubled and walked twice at Kennesaw State (March 12) ... Drove in two runs in game two of a doubleheader against Rider (March 15) ... Two home runs came a week apart - a pinch-hit, two-run shot in game two against Rider and at Elon (March 22) ... Struggled the latter part of the season, going hitless over the final 21 games in which he saw action - but reached five times with four walks and a HBP. Summer League: Scheduled to play for the Thomasville (N.C.) Hi-Toms of the Coastal Plain League.
2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in 17 games on the season including five starts, all coming as the designated hitter ... Saw action in the outfield four times ... Collected eight hits in 26 at bats for a .308 batting average with a pair of doubles and striking out five times with a pair of walks ... Batted .429 (6-of-14) against left-handed pitching and was 4-for-11 (.364) as a pinch hitter ... Drove in four runs ... Posted a season-high two hits in a home won over Gardner-Webb (April 17) ... Matched a career-high with four at bats in a starting role against Georgia Southern (April 20); Summer League: Played in six games in right field early in the summer for the Waynesboro (Va.) Generals in the Valley League ... Recorded one base hit in 11 at bats (.091) with a walk and four strikeouts ... Returned to Cullowhee and enrolled in summer school.
2012 (Freshman): Played in 31 games with 11 starts including seven as the designated hitter and four in left field ... Batted .308 as a true freshman, collecting 23 hits including seven for extra bases with 11 RBI ... Had two multiple hit games and three multiple RBI outings ... Recorded a pair of four-game hitting streaks ... Was a .267 batter as a pinch hitter (4-for-15) ... Collected his first collegiate base hit in his first career start as the designated hitter against Iona (March 2), leading off the fifth inning with a double to center field in what was his fourth career at bat ... Drove in two runs in the final game of the Iona (March 4) series ... Hit his first home run to right center field in a road win over The Citadel (March 11) ... Had a career day with a 3-for-4 outing at Elon (May 5), belting a double and a home run and driving in a career-best three runs; Summer League: Played part of the summer with the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League.
Prior to Western Carolina: A four-year letterwinner, hit .357 during his career with 31 doubles, eight triples and 12 home runs, driving in 76 ... Was a two-time, first-team all-conference selection and twice garnered All-Region honors including first team as a senior ... Recorded 16 victories on themound with a 3.28 ERA over 118.2 innings pitched, striking out 129 ... Was named his school's Male Athlete of the Year following his senior season.
