Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina Athletics and the Catamount Club's 2014 Catamounts Unite Tour, presented by the Cullowhee River Club on the Tuckasegee, concludes this week as the tour swings into the Queen City for the final stop at Southside in Charlotte (May 15).

Charlotte and Mecklenburg County represents the fourth-largest concentration of Western Carolina University alum in the state of North Carolina.

Each stop of the Catamounts Unite Tour is designed to allow WCU Director of Athletics Randy Eaton; head football coach Mark Speir; and head men's basketball coach Larry Hunter, as well as other Catamount coaches and staff as well as the Catamount Club, to meet with WCU alumni, supporters and Catamount fans as they craft together the vision and direction of Catamount Athletics.

The third installment of the highly successful Catamounts Unite Tour opened back on April 11 with a local stop at the new Comfort Inn in Sylva, and has included events at the Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga., on April 15 and the Crowne Plaza / Piedmont Center in Hickory, N.C., back on April 22. Last week, the caravan swung through the middle of North Carolina with stops in Winston-Salem (May 7) and Raleigh (May 8) at the River Ridge Taphouse and Carolina Ale House in Brier Creek, respectively.
