The Western Carolina cross country team will host its second meet of the season, the Catamount Classic, Saturday, September 8.

The meet will host Southern Conference rivals East Tennessee State, College of Charleston and Furman. Furman's women won the 2000 SoCon Championship. Other teams participating in the meet are UNC Asheville, Georgia State and University of Georgia.

Following the college meet will be the high school and junior high races.

Start times:
College women, 9:30 a.m.
College men, 10:00 a.m.
High school boys, 10:45 a.m.
High school girls, 11:15 a.m.
