Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina University have nearly doubled the number of athletes that qualified for the NCAA Regional meet from last year. This year, 14 Catamounts will compete in the NCAA East Regional to be held in Gainesville, Fla., May 28-29. The East Region consists of 110 Division I schools that sponsor men's track and field and 112 Division I schools that sponsor women's track and field.

The East Regional will take place this Friday and Saturday at the University of Florida's Percy Beard Track & Field in Gainesville, Fla. For ticket information, call 352-375-4683 or visit gatorzone.com. Check back with catamountsports.com for complete results.
