Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina University will host the 2006 Catamount Classic on Friday, April 21st at the Catamount Athletic Complex on campus in Cullowhee, N.C.

The Catamount Athletic Complex, located on the picturesque banks of Cullowhee Creek, was completed in the spring of 2005 and hosted last season's Southern Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, drawing record numbers for the event. WCU hosted two events during the 2005 season, with the SoCon championships marking the first full-fledged event upon the facilities completion. Western hosted its third event earlier this season - the Western Invitational - with this year's second-annual Catamount Classic marking the fourth meet held on the new facilities in Cullowhee.
