Cullowhee, N.C. - The WCU track and field team will not host the WCU Relays on Saturday (Mar. 19). However, the Catamounts will travel east to compete in the Charlotte Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

WCU Baeball and Tennis Postponed The Western Carolina baseball team, winners of six straight, will not have the chance to continue its streak today as its game at Gardner-Webb has been postponed due to inclement weather in the region. Also, Western's tennis match with Wofford, scheduled for tomorrow (Mar. 17), has been pushed back one day and now take play on Friday (Mar. 18) at 2:00 pm in Spartanburg, S.C.

No makeup date for the WCU-GWU baseball game has been scheduled as of yet. However, please continue to check www.catamountsports.com for further updates.

The Catamounts are currently 11-4 on the diamond and tied for first place in the Southern Conference with a 3-0 league mark. First place will be up for grabs this weekend as Western travels to South Carolina's Low Country to face the 18th-ranked College of Charleston Cougars. Coming off a weekend sweep of Elon, the College of Charleston is 3-0 in SoCon play as well and owns a 13-4 overall record. Other undefeated SoCon teams playing this weekend include the 3-0 UNC Greensboro Spartans playing at Davidson and the 3-0 Georgia Southern Eagles playing at East Tennessee State.

Al three games of this weekend's WCU-CofC series can be followed with up-to-the-minute results via GameTracker on Western's official website, www.catamountsports.com. Friday's contest (Mar. 18) is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm, with Saturday's and Sunday's game set to start at 1:00 pm.

WCU-CofC Tennis Has Makeup Date for Postponed Match
In addition to pushing the Thursday's tennis match to Friday, Western Carolina will makeup its postponed tennis match with the College of Charleston, which was scheduled to be played on Mar. 8. The Catamounts and Cougars will now square off on Sunday (Mar. 20) at 10:00 am on the Courts at Reid Gym.
