Indianapolis, Ind. - The Indiana Invaders have added 1500 meter USA National Junior Team member Caleb Bailey to the team's roster. Bailey is a graduate of Western Carolina University and has career bests of 1:48.49 in the 800 and 30:15 at 10K in cross country.

Bailey was a member of the 2000 US National Junior Team in the 1500 meters and was a two-time NCAA Championship qualifier in 2003, pulling the rare double in the 800 meters and cross country. Bailey set school records at Western in the 800 and for 10,000 meters in cross country. Bailey was also the 2003 WCU Male Athlete of the Year and is a seven time conference champion (800, Mile, and Relays).

In 2004, Bailey met the US Olympic Trials "B" qualifying standard in the 800 and competed at the 2003 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships in the 800.

Bailey, a graduate of Brookwood High School (Ga.), was fourth in the 5A Georgia State Championship 1600, seventh in the 800, and eighth in the 4x400 relay.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Bailey has a considerable range of race experience, from the 800 to 10K in Cross Country, and he has just begun to explore the possibilities and opportunities available to him as a post-collegian." Harger added, "Bailey is a valuable addition to our middle distance group that is totally focused on the Big Picture leading to 2008."
