Clemson, S.C. - The Western Carolina men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2003-04 indoor season this weekend at the inaugural Clemson Opener. Deanna Kulesz finished second in the one mile run to lead the Catamounts, while James Irwin came in fifth in the men's mile. Other WCU top five finishes include James Barr in the 500 meter run, Milton Bolton in the 300 meter run, Melanie Cooper and Alissa Short in the 3,000 meter run, the men's 4x400 meter relay team, and the women's 4x400 meter relay team.
