Gainesville, Fla. - Although none of the Catamounts were able to advance to the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, the Western Carolina men's 4x100 meter relay team broke the WCU record in the event during the preliminaries over the weekend in Gainesville. The four speedsters crossed the line in 40.56.

Listed below are all the Catamounts who competed in the regional meet, along with their final marks.

Lawrence Briscoe - 110m hurdles, 14.56
Patrick Mauldin - 4x100m relay, 40.56
