CLEMSON, S.C. - A select group of members of the Western Carolina University Track & Field team competed at the first day of the Clemson Tiger Qualifier held at the Rock Norman Complex on the campus of Clemson University Friday. All four competitors who participated Friday finished in the top six of their respective events.
In the men's 5000-meter run, freshman Travis Alfaro placed first with his time of 16:08.65. Alfaro's best time this season in the event came back in March at the 49er Classic when he ran a time of 15:25.54.
