Clemson Relays - Day One Results

Cullowhee, N.C. - The Western Carolina Track & Field teams are in action this weekend in Clemson, S.C., at the Clemson Relays. On Friday, most of the distance and field events were completed, with the track events slated for Saturday.

Highlighting Western's first day were fifth place finishes by Rashanda Simmons in the women's long jump and Tara Touszen in the women's javelin with a seasonal best mark of 33.08m (108-6). On the men's side, highlights included David Bowles and Josh Lee placing sixth and seventh, respectively, in the men's javelin. Lee's throw of 55.79m (183-0) was his best of this outdoor season.
