Bloomington, Ind. - Western Carolina's men's and women's Indoor Track and Field teams returned to Cullowhee this weekend after competing in the Indiana Indoor Track and Field Invitational. The men's distance medley team not only finished first in the event, they also broke a WCU 19-year old record, coming in at 10:05.52. Also breaking a school record was T. Alford, who came in sixth in the finals of the men's 60 meter dash at 6.88 seconds, but finished it in 6.79 seconds during the preliminaries.

Eleven other individual men finished in the top 10 of their events, along with eight women. The men's 4x800 meter relay team also won their event, coming in at 7:54.36.
