Freshman (2010-11): Indoor- Competed in five meets all in the 800m run ... Picked up a top 10 finish in his first meet, running a 2:03.52 at the Appalachian Invitational ... Ran a 2:03.23 for a 46th place finish at the Niswonger Invitational ... Wrapped up the indoor season with a personal best 1:57.16 at the Tiger Paw Invitational.
Outdoor- Ran in every meet, participating mainly in the 400m, 800m and the 4x400-meter relay ... Ran a 50.75 in the 400m and a 1:59.20 in the 800m at the outdoor opening Charlotte 49er Classic ... Picked up two top five finishes in the second meet, the Catamount Classic, placing third in the 4x400-meter relay and fourth in the 800m, running a 1:59.32 ... Placed sixth at the WCU Invitational in the 800m (27-2:00.36) ... Finished the season at the SoCon Championships with an 11th place finish in the 400m (50.94) and a 2:01.06 in the 800m (27th).
Sophomore (2011-12): Indoor-Competed in the mid-distance events, running in the 500m, 800m, 4x400-meter relay and the Distance Medley Relay ... Notched fourth place finish in first 800m run of the season (1:57.49) at the Appalachian Invitational ... At the Mountaineer Split Indoor Open, member of 4x400-meter relay team that captured fourth place (3:29.43) and picked up his first collegiate win in the 500m (1:06.22) ... The next week tallied two three top 10 finishes with a fourth place in the 4x400-meter relay (3:21.92), second in the DMR (10:35.50) and eighth in the 800m (1:57.07) ... At the SoCon Championships, finished fifth in the DMR (10:21.15) and ninth in the 800m run (1:57.60).
Outdoor- Ran in eight meets, tallying 13 top 10 finishes ... Began the season with a first place finish as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team at the Charlotte 49er Classic (3:12.39) while running a personal best in the 800m (1:54.21) to finish 13th... Placed third in the 800-meter run with a 1:54.24 at the Catamount Classic ... In the SoCon Outdoor Championships, Harris was a member of the SoCon champion 4x400-meter team (3:15.90) and was an individual winner in the 400-meter run (48.03) - which was a personal best. He also placed 14th in the 800m with a 1:55.38.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro, N.C. where he was coached by Chris Lassiter and Levelle Lindsay ... as a senior, member of relay team that finished ninth in indoor nationals in the 4x400m relay ... two-time all-county ...named all conference and all region as a senior.
PERSONAL: Aaron C. Harris was born May 3, 1992 in Durham, N.C. ... parents are Adam Harris and Deborah Moore ... has two younger siblings.
