Lindsey Lessing became the Director of Marketing at Western Carolina in 2011 after spending a year as an intern in the marketing department. In her current role, she manages the marketing and promotions for Western Carolina's Athletic Department and its 16 programs. Lessing coordinates marketing programs, promotions, game day operations, and branding of the department. She also develops and implements marketing strategies to aid in ticket sales and attendance.
During her time as a full-time intern under the Catamount Athletic Marketing and Ticket office, from the fall of 2010 to the spring of 2011, Lessing assisted in the marketing of WCU's 16 athletic programs as well as the department as a whole. Upon completion of her internship, Lessing was offered the Director of Marketing role.
Lessing is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she worked with the Athletic Marketing staff as a student intern as well as assisting in the development office as a guest representative. She assisted in game day operations, management of the Kids Club, and implementation of promotions during her time with the Cowboys.
