Helen Denbow joined the Catamount Sports Medicine staff in December of 2014. Her primary focus is working with the Western Carolina women's basketball team.
Denbow earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from Towson University in Baltimore, Md., in 2011 before earning a Masters of Science Degree in Kinesiology with concentration in Nutrition and Exercise from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., in 2014. During her time at JMU, Denbow worked with the Dukes' football team for two seasons, specializing in manual therapy involving Graston techniques.
Denbow also worked as an Athletic Training Intern at the University of Richmond in Virginia. During her time at Richmond, she worked various sports for the Spiders, including men's and women's cross country and women's soccer.
Helen is originally from Takoma Park, Md., and resides in Cullowhee.
