CULLOWHEE, N.C.- On Saturday August 8th the Catamount Club held its inaugural Parking Selection Cook Out in the Stadium Lot after the first fall practice for the Catamount football team. Over 75 donors stopped by to enjoy a hot dog or hamburger grilled up by Tom Henson of Winston-Salem, a long time supporter of the Catamount Club, and to select their football parking pass for the upcoming season.
"I was very pleased with the attendance for our first parking selection cook out", said Assistant Athletic Director Brian Frerking. "The idea behind the cook out is to provide an opportunity for our athletic department staff to interact with our supporters, as well as give our donors active participation in selecting a benefit that is very important to them. I think that is was a success on both fronts."
Every space in the Catamount Club Priority Parking Lots (Stadium and Creek Lot) was assigned to current Catamount Club members who qualified for a reserved space. Passes will be mailed to donors at the end of August in the Catamount Club Membership Packets.
