2008 Western Open Golf Tournament Information 
Waynesville, N.C. - The 2008 Western Open Golf Tournament event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6 at the Waynesville Country Club. The annual kickoff event begins with golf registration at Noon, with the shotgun start at 1:00 pm.
Festivities continue with the porch social at 5:00 pm, followed by a dinner at 6:15 pm. Western Carolina coaches will be on hand during the social and dinner in the event that unofficially opens the 2008-09 season.
