Top Moments of the 2014-15 Athletic Season

June 1, 2015 CULLOWHEE, N.C. - As the calendar flips over to June it not only means summer has arrived but it is also a great time to reflect back on the 2014-15 Catamount athletic season.

This past year was full of record-breaking performances and high excitement. Below we have compiled a list of top moments and achievements from the season. Was your favorite moment on the list? Also, be sure to keep scrolling down and vote for your top moment from the list.

TOP MOMENTS OF THE CATAMOUNT 2014-15 ATHLETIC SEASON

• Football Homecoming win over The Citadel 29-15 and large crowd (13,323).

• Women's basketball breaking the school record for three-pointers in a game in the win vs. FIU.

• Men's and women's track and field sweeping the SoCon Indoor titles and women winning outdoor title.

J.T. Poston winning the SoCon Individual Title in a shoot-out and NCAA appearance.

• Softball reaching the semi-finals of the SoCon Championships for just the second time in program history.

• Women's tennis win over Mercer.

• Career record breaking performances by Bradley Strong and Jacob Hoyle.

• Men's basketball overtime win against ETSU in the SoCon Tournament.

• Volleyball reaching the semi-finals of the 2014 SoCon Championships.

• Women's golf finished tied for fourth in 2015 SoCon Championships.

• Women's soccer earns sixth seed in 2014 SoCon Championships.

There are also some exciting moments coming up for the 2015-16 season including: volleyball hosting the 2015 SoCon Volleyball Championships and football road trips to Tennessee and Texas A&M.
