CULLOWHEE, N.C. -Western Carolina's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be selling its "Whee Think Pink" T-shirts this week around campus, and at the men's basketball game on Thursday and the women's basketball game on Saturday.
The T-shirts, with proceeds going to breast cancer research, are in conjunction with SAAC's year-long "Think Pink" initiative. SAAC members will be selling the T-shirts for $10 Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the café on campus and 12-1 p.m. Thursday in the Western Carolina University Center.
SAAC will also be selling the shirts one hour prior to the men's basketball game against Elon and the women's basketball game against Chattanooga, as both games have been designated Pink Zone games. Members of SAAC will be positioned by the concession stand and entrance to the Ramsey Center, selling the shirts beginning at 6 p.m. of the men's game Thursday and 1 p.m. of the women's game Saturday.
All fans are attending the basketball games on Thursday and Saturday are encouraged to wear pink.
