Catamount Coaches' Luncheon to be Held Tuesday in Ramsey Center

Jan. 14, 2008

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Catamount Coaches' Luncheon will be held Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. in the Ramsey Center on the Western Carolina campus. Head basketball coaches Kellie Harper and Larry Hunter will be on hand to discuss the previous week's basketball games and the outlook for upcoming games.

The Lady Catamounts have won four-straight Southern Conference games and are also enjoying their longest winning streak of the season. Western Carolina is currently 12-5 overall and 4-1 in the SoCon. WCU goes on the road Saturday to play at Wofford at 2 p.m.

Western Carolina's men are enjoying a rare week long hiatus from playing. In the Catamounts last game, the club fell 85-55 at Chattanooga. The team returns to the hardwood on January 21 when WCU hosts Davidson at 7 p.m. in the Ramsey Center.

Each week's coaches luncheon will feature a buffet-style lunch beginning at 11:45 am and will last until approximately 1:00 pm. Head coaches from WCU's athletic programs will be the keynote speakers at each event offering insight into their seasons and "X's and O's" from their respective sport, as well as answering questions from those in attendance.

There is an open invitation to everyone in the surrounding communities, but an RSVP is requested by the Friday prior to the next event to allow proper preparations to be made. The cost of the luncheon is $7.00 per person.
