Chante Freeman joined Western Carolina Athletics as an Assistant Director of Development for the Catamount Club in April of 2018.
Prior to her role as Assistant Director, some of her roles included working as a Development Assistant with the Tennessee Fund from 2017-18, the Events and Business intern with the College Football Playoff in Dallas, Texas from 2016-17, and she also served as a post-graduate intern for Texas Tech Athletics from 2015-16.
One of her most recent accomplishments includes receiving the Football Bowl Association Volunteer of the Year Award for her help during the 2018 College Football National Championship. During her time with the Tennessee Fund, College Football Playoff, and Texas Tech Athletics, Chante worked with various events including the 2018 and 2017 National Championships, 2017 NCAA Women’s Final Four, and 2016 NCAA College Baseball Regionals and Super Regionals. While obtaining her Master’s at Texas Tech, she maintained a Graduate Teaching Assistantship for the Exercise and Sports Science department.
