Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina will make the short trip to mountain rival UNC Asheville on Tuesday evening as the Catamounts face the Bulldogs in the Justice Center at 6 p.m.

Western Carolina is 6-4 following the Gamecock Classic in Gadsden, Ala. last weekend. The Catamounts defeated Mississippi Valley State with losses to Bradley and Jacksonville State. Juniors Aleah Keaton and Meagan Sanchez were named to the All-Tournament team.

UNC Asheville is 4-5 after losses to College of Charleston and Davidson and a win over The Citadel last weekend. The Bulldogs have wins over Coppin State, Tennessee State and two wins over The Citadel with losses to Appalachian State, Chattanooga, North Alabama, College of Charleston and Davidson.

Western Carolina leads the all-time series 26-23 with wins in three of the last four meetings.

The Catamounts were scheduled to play in the Hampton Inn Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. this weekend, but that tournament has been cancelled due to impending weather.
