Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina's volleyball team will host a preseason cookout and the Purple & Gold scrimmage on Saturday afternoon in the Ramsey Center Auxiliary Gymnasium. The event is both open and free to the public. Fans are encouraged to park in the Creek Lot across from the Ramsey Center.

"We are really looking forward to the scrimmage on Saturday and are excited to give our fans a preview of this year's team," said WCU head coach Karen Glover. "I think we have had a strong preseason. This scrimmage will give us a good sense of the progress we've made and what areas we need to work on before our season-opening tournament at Central Florida."

The Catamounts face Florida International at Noon on Aug. 29, before facing the host Knights at the Venue at UCF at 7:30 pm.
