Due to unfavorable weather forecasts for southeastern Georgia on Tuesday, SoCon officials have made the move to play the final two rounds of the championship event on Monday. The final 36 holes of play get underway with a shotgun start at 9:00 am with live scoring available online at

Caldwell countered four bogies with five pars on her front nine to make the turn at 4-over par on Sunday. On the back, the Dawsonville, Ga., native had five bogies against a pair of pars and the first two birdies of her tournament to finish the first round at 7-over, 79.

Senior Mariah Hopkins sits in a tie for 17th overall after shooting 8-over, 80. The Greensboro, N.C., product made the turn at 1-over, bogeying the par-4 seventh as the only blemish on her front nine after carding eight pars. On the back nine, a double-bogey and three-straight bogies left her at 6-over for the day before she birdied the par-4 14th. Hopkins closed the round with a fifth bogey and a second double-bogey for the 8-over day.

Hopkins carded a team-best 10 pars through the first 18 holes of the championship event.

Senior Kim Mitchell is tied for 26th overall with a first-round 82, carding nine pars and one birdie on Sunday, with juniors Bethany Galloway (t-31st, 84) and Ashley Thompson (t-34th, 85) rounding out the Catamount scoring five.

Paced by first-round individual leader, Alice Chen with a 1-under round of 71 - the only sub-par round on the day - Furman paces the nine-team field by three strokes over second-place, Chattanooga, after Sunday's opening 18 holes. The defending champion Paladins have a combined three individuals in the top five, shooting 298 in the first round to lead the Mocs, who have all four of their counting scores inside the individual top 10 at 301.

ETSU, which boasts three players in the top seven, is a total of seven-strokes off the pace in third place at 305 with Samford (319) and Wofford (324) rounding out the top five. WCU is tied with Mercer for sixth, both just a stroke outside the top five at 325, with UNCG (331) and The Citadel (366) rounding out the championship field.

Live stats can be found at and will be updated throughout Monday's final two rounds. The winner of the SoCon Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA regional round.
