Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate - Round 1-2 Results Get Acrobat Reader

Hilton Head Island, S.C. - Western Carolina men's golf posted rounds 309 and 306 on Monday to sit in 17th-place with a combined score of 615 entering Tuesday's final round at the spring-opening Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, hosted by Francis Marion at the par-72, 6,913-yard Wexford Plantation course.

The third and final round is scheduled for a shotgun start at 8:30 am on Tuesday. WCU's scoring five will tee-off between holes No. 16 and 18, paired with golfers from DePaul and the tournament's five individuals. Live scoring of the final round is available online through

WCU is led by freshman Bradley Durand in a tie for 32nd overall after 36 holes at 149. The Oak Ridge, Tenn., native opened with a 6-over par round of 78 before rallying to match his career-low round of 1-under, 71, in the second round. After carding 12 pars and six bogies in the opening round, Durand countered four bogies with five birdies in the second round to shoot 1-under par.

Sophomore Jackson Bishop posted rounds of 75 and 76 for a two-round score of 151, in a tie for 43rd overall. Bishop had a combined five birdies between the two rounds including three in his 4-over par, 76, second round.

WCU freshman Lawson King carded rounds of 79 and 78, respectively, to sit in a tie for 77th overall at 157, with senior Tyler Lail (159) and Evan Smith (161) in ties for 82nd and 85th, respectively, to round out the Catamount scoring five. Lail had five birdies on Monday while Smith had three and King one.

Nationally-ranked Campbell leads the 17-team field, jumping two spots from third to the top of the leader board in the second round. The Camels lead second-place USC Aiken by eight strokes, 568-to-576. First-round leader, Louisville, slipped to third at 1-over par, 577, with UNC Wilmington (581) and Cleveland State (585) rounding out the top five teams.

Wofford's Andrew Novak has a two-stroke advantage over a three-way tie for the runner-up spot through 36 holes of competition. Novak posted rounds of 2-under par, 70, and 5-under, 67, to sit in the clubhouse at 7-under par, 137. Gaston Bertinotti and Craig Hornberger -- both of Campbell -- and USC Aiken's Johnson Holliday are each tied for second at 5-under par, 139.
