CULLOWHEE, N.C. --Western Carolina women's soccer fell to UNCG 1-0 Sunday at the Catamount Athletic Complex.

Turning Point
UNCG scored under four minutes into the game and held on for the win in the lone goal in the game.


Individual Leaders
- UNCG's Melanie Spensiero scored the only goal in the game.
- Western Carolina goal keeper Carly Tinstman has allowed just one goal in the last 180 minutes of play in the last two games.
- Catamount freshman Emily Threatt led WCU with three shots.

- UNCG ended the game with eight shots and Western Carolina had nine.
- Spensiero scored for UNCG at 3:25 in the first half when she took a pass from Melissa Canizalez and found the right top of the net.
- Western Carolina had solid looks at the goal including a pair right in front of the UNCG goalkeeper that just couldn't find the back of the net.
