Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina baseball’s nonconference road game at UNC Asheville’s Greenwood Field scheduled for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed due to the mixed bag of inclement weather including rain, wind, and even the threat of snow showers tonight.

Overnight rain and unfavorable forecasts throughout the day on Wednesday have prompted officials at UNC Asheville to postpone the front-end of the annual home-and-home series. Though the plan is to make-up the meeting between mountain-rivals, no date has been set.

Western Carolina (0-3) turns its attention to its home-opening weekend as the Catamounts host UL-Monroe (1-2) at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium for a three-game, nonconference set. Friday’s first-ever meeting between the Catamounts and Warhawks is scheduled for a 4:00 pm first pitch.
