Western Carolina Head Coach Mark Prosser

On WCU’s Effort on the Glass

“It probably was a fun game to watch Our kids fought. If you give that type of effort every time out we’re going to be dangerous. Our attention to detail throughout the week was with rebounding and I thought the we did a good job on the glass. We fought, competed, but they made a couple of plays down the stretch and we missed a few plays that we probably can’t, especially on the road.

On Kameron Gibson’s Performance

“He’s a warrior. He just keeps getting better and better and will continue to do so. He keeps working hard and sees the benefits of it. We got a nice of really nice efforts from a bunch of guys and he was one of them. “

On the Matchup Against VMI in the First Round of the Conference Tournament

“They’re playing hard and with a lot of confidence. We tried to take some things from that game that will make us better. We just played them so they’re familiar with us and we’re familiar with them. Anytime you’re in the conference tournament there’s a different intensity and energy level and I look forward to that and I think our guys do as well.”
