Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina Athletics is putting a different spin on its bye week this year – instead, this year’s football open date is a “BUY” Week!

Beginning on Thursday, Sept. 19, Catamount football fans can purchase from one of three options for a three-game flex plan to choose the same seats for three of WCU’s remaining four home dates including two of WCU’s most in-demand tickets – the Oct. 5 Family Weekend meeting with nonconference foe, Gardner-Webb, and the chromatic rivalry showdown for Homecoming 2019 on Oct. 26 with the Furman Paladins.

In addition to the Oct. 5 and Oct. 26 games, fans can also choose from the Nov. 9 mountain-rivalry meeting with ETSU in the Nov. 9 Blue Ridge Border Battle / Heroes Day. That game that will be preceded at Noon by Catamount men’s basketball hosting NCAA Tournament team, Gardner-Webb, in the Ramsey Center. All patrons with a ticket to the football game including season, flex, or a single-game ticket, will receive FREE admission to the hoops home opener. The fourth date can also choose from is the 2019 Hall of Fame and Senior Day meeting with league-foe, Samford, on Nov. 16.

Purchasing the flex mini-plan continues to offer savings over buying single-game tickets. Also, fans purchasing the mini-plans will have the option to receive a Paws bobblehead (one per order) or a Catamount Country T-shirt (one per ticket, limited sizes available & while supplies last).

Following this weekend’s off week, the Catamounts return to Southern Conference play with their first road test in league play, traveling to Finley Stadium to take on the Chattanooga Mocs on Sept. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm in a game that will be broadcast by UTC on ESPN+ with Catamount Sports Network coverage set for 3:00 pm with the Pepsi Tailgate Show.
