Cullowhee, N.C. – Kickoff of Western Carolina’s September 7, 2019 road game at North Carolina State at Carter-Finley Stadium (57,583) in Raleigh has been set for 12:30 pm and will be broadcast on the ACC RSN (Regional Sports Network) it was announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference and NC State.

The second game of the 2019 season for the Catamounts marks the first of a two-game series between the in-state institutions. WCU is also set to return to the capital city on Aug. 31, 2024, to open the year against the Red & White.

Additional game day ticket and broadcast information will be made available later in the summer.

WCU and NC State have met six times previously on the football gridiron, most recently in 2010 with every meeting played in Raleigh. The first series meeting between the two came back in November of 1986 – a 31-18 victory for the Wolfpack. NCSU leads the all-time series, 6-0.

Season tickets for Western Carolina’s 2019 six-game home schedule are on sale now through the Catamount Athletics ticket office, located on the first floor of the Ramsey Center, by phone at (800) 34-GOWCU, and online at Three different seat types – reserved chair back, bench back reserved, and traditional stadium bleacher – options are available for the six home dates at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field with prices beginning at $90 for an adult general admission and $55 for a youth bleacher season ticket.

Returning WCU Football season ticket holders must renew their season tickets by June 28, 2019, to lock-in their same seats from last year. Catamount Club members are reminded to renew their memberships by May 31 to also qualify for reserved parking this upcoming fall.
