CULLOWHEE, N.C. – After snapping a four-game losing skid on Saturday, the Western Carolina men’s basketball team looks to continue its winning ways on Thursday as the Catamounts travel to UNCG to take on the Spartans at 7 p.m. inside Greensboro Coliseum.

Thursday’s game can be seen on ESPN+ (paid subscription required) with Scott Pryzwansky and Darryl Kosciak on the broadcast. The Catamount Sports Network will provide coverage with Gary Ayers on the call and Daniel Hooker providing color commentary. Saturday’s game can be heard on WWCU-FM, Power 90dot5 in Cullowhee, 105.7-FM/540-AM WRGC in Sylva as well as online at www.catamountsports.com. Live stats will also be available.

Western Carolina enters Thursday’s contest with a 7-21 overall record and a 4-11 Southern Conference mark following a 103-82 win over The Citadel on Saturday. Onno Steger led the Catamounts with 25 points and made a career-best six 3-pointers in the win. Matt Halvorsen scored 24 points, two points shy of tying his career-high of 26. Marc Gosselin had a season-best 18 points while Marcus Thomas also finished in double figures with 13 points.

UNCG is 22-5 overall and 11-3 in league games following an 80-50 setback at Wofford on Saturday night as the Terriers outscored the Spartans 44-20 in the second half. Kryin Galloway had a team-leading 17 points while James Dickey grabbed nine rebounds in the loss.

WCU leads the all-time series 31-22 although UNCG has won the last six meetings including a 69-61 decision in Cullowhee on Jan. 17.

Western Carolina will make its final appearance in the Ramsey Center during the 2018-19 season on Saturday, hosting VMI at 7:30 p.m. The game is also Senior Night for the Catamounts with Gosselin honored prior to tip-off.
