Cullowhee, N.C. After taking part in the annual Welcome Back ice cream social for student-athletes, Western Carolina volleyball returns to the court on Monday for the first of three straight days of evening practice following the start of classes for the fall semester on Monday. 

The Catamounts are one week away from an exhibition match against Anderson at the Ramsey Center on August 26 before opening the regular season August 30 at the Georgia State Invitational.

In the third of the Catamount volleyball series, #CatamountCountry is being introduced to Merry Gebel, a sophomore outside hitter from St. Louis, Mo.
