ROCK HILL, S.C. – Jordan Bostian and Devaniel Dale both earned individual wins as the Western Carolina track & field teams posted 16 top-five finishes Saturday at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational.

Bostian won the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:25.52.

Dale won the men’s 400-meter dash in 48.16 seconds.

Trini Feggett finished in second place in the men’s 100-meter dash with a time of 10.58. Feggett was .01 behind the winner. Feggett posted his second runner-up finish of the day in the men’s 200-meter dash as he finished the race with a time of 21.32.

Christina Nikolaou was the runner-up in the women’s 1,500-meter run as she crossed the finish line in a personal best 4:41.07. She finished in third place in the women’s 800-meter run with a personal best 2:13.71.

The men’s 4x100-meter relay team finished in second place with a time of 41.29.

Makaila McIntyre finished in third place in the women’s triple jump with a leap of 11.84 meters (38’10.25”).

Dakota Oxendine tied for third place in the men's high jump as he cleared a height of 2.05 meters (6'8.75").

In the women’s 4x400-meter relay, WCU posted a third-place finish with a time of 3:49.94.

The men’s 4x400-meter relay finished third with a time of 3:15.14.

Kellsie Whitehead finished fourth in the women’s 400-meter dash in 56.73.

Kate Mattison finished fourth in the women’s developmental 1,500-meters with a personal best time of 5:02.02.

Mac Bennett’s throw of 46.56 meters (152’9”) earned him a fifth-place finish in the men’s discus.

Charles Cooley tied for fifth place in the men’s pole vault as he cleared 4.45 meters (14’7.25”).

Miles Greer finished in fifth place in the men’s 800-meter run as he completed the race in 1:56.37.

Mike Jones finished fifth in the men’s 110-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 14.46.  

Nicholas Lyons finished eighth in the men’s triple jump with his leap of 14.22 meters (46’8”).

WCU is off next weekend before traveling to Auburn, Ala for the Tiger Track Classic on April 5 and 6.
