2017-18 (Freshman): Named to SoCon All-Freshman team … King ended the season with a record of 9-10 playing 16 of the 19 games on the year at the No. 1 singles spot. At No. 1 singles, King had a record of 7-8 and 2-2 at the No. 2 singles spot … In doubles play, she tied the season-high with 13 wins teaming up with fellow Catamount Lauren McCall at No. 2 doubles.

Prior to Western Carolina: Became a resident of Pennsylvania after moving from Iowa ... Spent her freshman and sophomore years at Methacton High School in Pennsylvania ... Competed for the school team as a freshman ... In just one season, helped lead Methacton to the State Team Championship match going undefeated through all seven rounds of district and state play ... Marked the first time Methacton advanced beyond district playoffs in school history ... Spent her final two years of high school being homeschooled ... Consistently ranked in the top five in her section and top 150 in the U.S.T.A. throughout her junior career ... Played #1 singles on her USTA Zone team in Girls 12s, 14s, and 16s representing both the Missouri Valley section and the Middle States section ...
